Herrick is formed by lead
singer/mandolin player Donna Herrick,
Kerry Herrick (Vocals -Bass), Josh
Merrill (Guitar) and Scotty
Scholtz (Drums and perscussion).
Kerry and Donna began singing gospel
music around their hometown of
Spokane Washington. They later moved to Nashville Tennessee, where they have honed their skills of writing and performance.

"Donna has a five octave vocal range! We know she has the best voice in Nashville, hands down'" says Kerry. "There is nothing she can't sing and in her own style. A serious vocalist as well as a great performer."
"Everyone thinks we are brothers and sisters because of our harmony," Donna adds. "They are always blown away to find that Kerry and I are married." "We met when I was only 12, and have been together ever since."

In fact, the back story of this band is one that is sure to become a CBS special!

                                                                          The band is serious about its ability to
                                                                         perform live as well. "Everyone in our band
                                                                         is able to burn his instrument down to the
                                                                        ground," notes Kerry, matter-of-factly. "We
                                                                       are blessed with the people we play with.
                                                                       They are just top notch." "We are serious
                                                                         about giving all our energy to our fans."

                                                                          NEW DANCE, Herrick's new album is

                                                                        "We are excited about the new album", says
                                                                        Donna. "We started the album a year or
                                                                       more ago, then we met Jeff Baker,
                                                                        (Desmond Child). We started talking to

Jeff and hit it off musically. We clicked in the studio, so we all decided to scratch what we already had and start the whole album again!
"This album is truly HERRICK!", Says Donna. "We were so tired of hearing, "You guys are incredible Live". "You guys are so much better live than on the CD!" "Dont get me wrong, it is a great compliment to our live performance. But this time around you will hear Herrick as Songwriters,Vocalists, and Musicians. "I always say no one can play Mandolin like me, I play it all my way!"
"I am also excited that the guys will be sharing the leads on many of the songs. The secret is, that they always have. We always change parts right in the middle of a song. Most people don't catch it. It is part of our sound." "We are totally out of the box. Heck we are making a new one!"

Adding new Tracks to an album already packed full of great songs is not an easy process.

"The final cut has still not been decided,"says
Kerry. " We have brand new songs that were
just written a few months ago, as well as some
we have been performing live for some time".
"We are waiting until we are all finished with
all the tracking and then we will decide."

" We never stop writing. We write in all
conditions. On the road, off the road.
While we are together and when we are apart.
" Says Donna, " But when we finalize a song,
we always sit together In a room and work the
song from top to bottom. Every song is truly
HERRICK. through and through. We tap into
our emotions and let it ride..."
Donna adds, "We don't write to a template or
try and calculate how a tune might sell
in some market. It just comes out of us
naturally as we pull a song together. It's
very organic."
"Of course it's great when someone
comes up and tells you how much one of your songs touched them," comments Donna. "But we write music for us first. It's the only way we know how to make music. And we've found that what we are feeling or going through at the time is often what's happening in everyone's life. We are all going through the same valleys to stand on the same mountain tops."

The band has a very diverse influences like Ann Wilson (Heart), Ryan Adams, Audio Slave, Ricky Skaggs, Dwight Yoakum, Merle Haggard, The Eagles, Emmylou Harris, Rush, Maroon 5, Waylon Jennings, Evanescence and more... it's no wonder their music combines many elements from different musical styles into a new and unique blend.

Nashville industry insiders label the band "A Breath of Fresh Air". Different is very intriguing, and Herrick has been winning fans and music insiders over with every show they play.

Their innate instinct for creating high quality music has helped Herrick stand out from the crowd as they tour to Standing Room Only crowds across the country.
